This map was hand lettered and based on a map I’d done a couple of years ago. I’ve adapted it slightly adding annotations – mixing local history with personal history and knowledge. Maps are amazing, always changing and showing the times and culture of the mapmaker themselves…

“Welcome to Youthtopia” is a film short I created with the help of filmmaker Chris Roe of Fat Fat Pebble. It will be screened as a projection on the side of Brighton Youth Centre on 29th October as part of Brighton’s White Night festival. Hopefully I’ll be able to post a video link when it’s done.
A recent new painting in a series based around traditional stories in contemporary settings. I wanted to see how few symbols the viewer needed to read the image and relate to stories that are part of the Western culture.
